Americana singer/songwriter, Vicky Emerson, will release a new album in the fall of 2018 as a much anticipated follow up to her wildly successful 2016 effort, Wake Me When the Wind Dies Down. The Minneapolis Star Tribune said, “Vicky Emerson has voice like a fallen angel that's as pretty as it is strong, and now she backs it up with growing lyrical depth and richly blue Americana arrangements on her third album." The album reached #58 on the US Americana Charts and soared to #5 on the European Americana Chart.

With momentum on her side, Vicky spent the last past year focusing on writing which amounted to a significant number of songs providing her with an unprecedented opportunity to be extremely selective on which songs would be on the new album. Another difference from her previous albums is that she felt it was time to take on the role of producer. Vicky explains, “By producing Steady Heart, I am whole heartedly accepting the challenge while also recognizing that I'm stepping into an area of the industry dominated by men. I firmly believe there should be more female producers and since this is something I believe in, then I need to take action. I'm ready and I feel that my experience has more than prepared me for this role.”

Emerson was raised in rural Wisconsin, has lived in New York City and San Francisco before relocating back to her roots in Minneapolis to raise her children. She has opened for songwriting luminaries such as Malcolm Holcombe and Gregory Alan Isakov, toured on a national basis and has mentored many songwriters on touring, crowd funding and career management.
