Erisa Rei has one of those soulful voices that either seeps slowly into the cracks of your heart with soft croonings, or blasts through your walls of reserve with its power. Having her own musical formula, her songs are her own recipe of blues, soul, and roots rock, unique to what is "Erisa Rei". With her wide vocal range, and good grasp on dynamics, coupled with her ability to dig deep as she sings her lyrics, Rei continues to impress her audiences. Starting her roots career in 2007, she has juggled family and music with as much grace as she can. Having 5 children that she home-schools, (as well as a devoted husband,) adds to the uniqueness that Rei's life is all about-- part slow-paced, homegrown values, and part fast-paced, show business. Endeavoring to balance on that fine line between them, Erisa Rei's life will be canning produce from her garden one day, to touring out-of-state the next. But go ahead and ask her which one she thinks is most important... The past few years have been quite the ride for Erisa Rei. Since the independent release of her roots album, "Black Ball", in January 2012, Rei has seen her album chart #2 on the Roots Music Report's Roots Rock charts, as well as continuing to get regular radio play three years later. In October 2012, she signed to the label, Creative & Dreams, (headed by CEO Fred Cannon & President Rose Drake). She also was a 2013 Pepsi Southern Original Semi-Finalist, and a 2015 Belk Southern Musician Showcase Semi-finalist. Playing at the legendary Bluebird Cafe, (as well as many other notable venues across the Eastern and Southern U.S.,) was a highlight in her career, that she won't quickly forget. Recently, she released a digital single, "About Love", in early February 2015. Debuting just in time for Valentine's Day, (and her wedding anniversary,) it is a song that Rei wrote for her husband, dedicating it to him. This is Erisa Rei at her best, showing once again her strong family values, as well as her drive to continually be creating the music she loves.
