A soulful, transparent, unpretentious performer, Robyn’s literacy dates back to childhood and probably comes from reading under the covers with a flashlight instead of sleeping. A published poet and grade-school spelling bee champ, she authored two bestselling books in her 20s. Her writing gifts translated naturally to music; she’s garnered more than 55 honors since 2005, including first place in Woody Guthrie Folk Festival Songwriting Contest, winner at Wildflower! Festival, and Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. She was also a Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Emerging Artist and official showcasing artist at regional and international Folk Alliance conferences.

She’s co-written and shared the stage with many fine writers and musicians, and taught songwriting at festival workshops. Her new CD “Waterproof,” released at the end of 2014, was co-produced by John Jennings and is already a folk-dj favorite. Her second recording “Many Moons” was one of the most-played records on folk radio in 2009, with no special promotion or representation.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Robyn later settled in Seattle and happily migrated to Tucson in 2010.

““Robyn Landis is the real deal, and I’m thrilled to be singing backup for her on her new CD WATERPROOF. I’m impressed with her songwriting, her spirit, and her sound...one of the new traditionalists writing contemporary folk songs with a timeless feel. I love her work." —Christine Lavin

“Robyn is a true musician and a fine member of the ‘three chords and the truth’ club."
~ JIMMY LAFAVE

“I'm not amazed that you have won so many awards...your songwriting is reminiscent of some of the great folk/rock/pop songs of the 60s....most particularly Paul Simon...even though he is not a woman, you share the same sensibilities. If he was a woman he probably would have been born as you. You have a simplicity and freshness which reminds me of the 60s when hope and innocence merged with protest and activism.”
—John Coinman, songwriter and member of Kevin Costner’s Modern West Band

"Robyn Landis radiates excellence with every word, every note and every song. Many Moons is clearly one of the most exciting projects released by a singer/songwriter in North America this year--maybe even in the last few years and possibly for several more yet to come. This girl has what it takes--and then some!"
~ Dennis Brunnenmeyer, Nevada City Limits, KVMR Radio, CA

"Every cut here is a keeper, and Landis obviously either lavished a good deal of time on the arrangements or has a natural gift for it, probably both. Like David Wilcox, her work is rich with sympathy for human frailty and the thousand and one disappointments the flesh is heir to...Robyn Landis, I'm quite sure, waited until her art was fully matured and, man, does it ever show."
~ Mark Tucker, Folk & Acoustic Music Exchange (FAME)
