Excellent in every way!...Glenn Godsey I'm going to send you a youtube of a tune I made up: Take Me Back To Tulia, that's Tulia, Texas. NOT Tulsa.

I especially appreciated the frequent repetition of the whole tune so that we could put the snippets into context as we learned them. And the bowing instruction was, as always, awesome.

Hi Rayna, You probably remember me, but I reached out to you about our mutual connection with Dave Stallard a few years back. I think I also mentioned that my wife is good friends with Ann Grodnik who you may have known from days in ... Bloomington?? Anyhow, thanks for the lesson! I always loved this tune from your first album. I'm new to the online lesson thing. I'll check out your website. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Rayna is very patient with questions and clear in her explanations of the details of her technique. This is very difficult because phrasing in old time fiddling varies with each pass through the tune, giving vitality and variety to each phrase.

What was your favorite part of the performance? Been listening to your music for a long time. Was fun to have an hour to hang out and hear you talk about your approach. Best part was when you isolated the little trills and slides, double stops, unisons, double strings, etc. I could have learned the tune from listening to a recording, but would have probably missed the subtle embellishments. thanks so much.
