Esther Mayberry aka Old Skool "QueenE" is a Singer Songwriter born and raised in Washington, DC. She grew up listening to the Motown sounds of the 1970s and frequent the Juke Joint Night Clubs and Dance Halls as a teenager in Washington, DC where Chuck Brown frequently played on U Street.
QueenE and her brothers formed a band and Singing Group to enter Talent Shows but never got the recognition back in the early 1970s. QueenE continued song writing later for her daughter but never got a Record Label recognition for their efforts back in the 1980s and 1990s.
After raising her children on her 9 to 5 government job, QueenE discovered self-publishing with ITunes in 2013 and resurrected her poetry and songwriting today.
As of today she has written, produced and released one mixed genre Compilation Album that include songs sung by her daughter and granddaughter year 2013. And year 2014 QueenE released her first debut mixed genre Solo Album that includes her popular Holiday song for Thanksgiving and Valentine Day and her Sports Anthem song, and a song she says gives Girl Power and some comfort called "You Low Life Scum". Her album also includes a Pop song called "Its All About Money" and Go-Go called "The Show Must Go On".
