Broadcasting For Charity

In recent months, Concert Window has allowed artists to host a number of charity events with great success. Whether they've chosen to broadcast from existing charity events or put on unique Concert Window-only experiences, the return has been incredibly valuable. By utilizing Concert Window, charity organizations are able to directly connect with and monetize their patrons worldwide in a unique interactive setting.

In December 2014, American Idol-winner David Cook took his benefit concert from Jammin' Java in Virginia to the next level by broadcasting the live event on Concert Window. In doing so, David was able to include his global fan-base in the event and gave fans around the world the opportunity to contribute to his appeal and reach his $1 million goal for brain cancer research.

Deana Martin, Director of Events for Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure, described the planning process: “When we were planning the event, we knew we had to find a way to include David’s fans from all over the world, as they have been a huge part of the fundraising the past 6 years. I had heard great things about Concert Window and we liked [the] platform. We worked with a video company who handled the in-venue camera work and stream for us so it would be professional quality for everyone. We were very happy with how everything turned out and the fans on the livestream really contributed to the fundraising the night of the show.”

Also in December 2014, acclaimed banjo player Béla Fleck and renowned folk musician Abigail Washburn performed an exclusive Concert Window show from their home in order to raise money for the Stand For Children Charity. Almost 400 people tuned into the show and Bela & Abbie raised a significant sum for their chosen charity.

Here are some fan quotes from the show:

"My father and I, who have both seen Béla and Abigail in concert, enjoyed this show immensely! It was like having them right in our living room." - Jesse Houser

"The best CW show I've seen. Two talented musicians at home, playing for a good cause. There was a lot of warmth and ease about this CW show." - John Nj

Whilst there are many use cases for Concert Window, and the platform can be used by any musician, anywhere, we've seen some incredible results from musicians and organizations using the platform for charitable causes. To date, Concert Window has helped raise well over $20,000 for charitable organizations. It may be time to consider live-streaming your next fundraising event. For further information, please email
