Hey Musicians – Now You Can Create Free-To-View Shows!

By Dan Gurney - May 29, 2014

We’ve heard the feedback and today we’re adding one of our most-requested features. Now, in addition to “pay what you want” and set price options, you can play a completely free-to-view show on Concert Window.

Better yet, you can still accept tips and offer Tip Rewards.

This could come in handy for a number of situations:
- Having an album launch party and offering the album download as a Tip Reward
- Doing a “thank you” show for your Kickstarter or Indiegogo backers
- Hanging out with your fans in a low-pressure way
- And more options we haven’t thought of yet!

As always, it’s completely up to the artist. We’re rolling out this feature to all existing Concert Window artists starting right now. Just create a new show and select the “Let fans watch for free” option.

Let us know how you like it in the comments below!

I'd like to change my upcoming show to 'free-to-view', but can't see that in the options...? Date is the 11th; thanks!

Sounds good! I have plans to do a first show later this year (probably fall - I stil have many things to work out), and as with a first time things can go wrong, it wouldn't be a good idea to charge people for that. Also, I think playing for free is a good way to build an audience in the first place.
