Found Wandering's Third Annual Christmas Charity Concert

By Dan Gurney - December 19, 2013

As we approach the holiday season, our thoughts turn to helping those in need. That’s why we are happy to present a charity show this Sunday December 22nd at 7pm ET.

Every year, Philadelphia-based husband and wife duo Sarah and Colin Comstock – otherwise known as Found Wandering – put on a Christmas show featuring a variety of holiday songs rearranged in the folk/bluegrass tradition.

“The Christmas side of the Found Wandering project came about because Sarah and I were broke and decided to record some songs as Christmas presents for our friends and family a few years back,” relates Colin. “We started with the idea of just doing vocals and guitar but quickly got excited about asking friends if they would record overdubs, and the project just expanded from there.”

For this year’s show, Sarah and Colin will be joined by 4 vocalists as well as musicians from Boston, New York and Philadelphia playing fiddle, mandolin, banjo, saxophone, accordion, drums/percussion, piano and guitar.

All proceeds from both the concert and the livestream will go to the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission, an organization that has been helping the homeless of Philadelphia for the last 135 years.
