Well aware of the difficulties of spelling, and saying, their name, Dewveall have driven forward for over five years, confusing audiences with their troublesome moniker while entertaining them with their unique blend of rock-n-roll and comfort blues.

Core members of the band, Jonathon and Melanie Dewveall, are Houston natives, and Texas enthusiasts, who now call East Nashville home. They are often joined on stage by drummer and honorary family member / red-headed step brother, Jacob Briggs, as well as a handful of others who have become part of the Dewveall family.

In June of 2012, they recorded and released Word.

“…an excellent, unique album that is a breath of fresh air in a world of formatted, genre-specific music. This is for music fans.” - Dave Wheaton, KEAN 105.1 FM in Abilene, TX

Exactly one month after unleashing Word upon an unsuspecting public, their first-born daughter arrived. Enamored with her striking cuteness, Jonathon and Melanie deferred touring in support of the release; opting instead to care for young Vada and shower her with unimaginable amounts of love.

But now they’re back, weekend touring with a vengeance and one helluva cute backup singer.

Whether you catch them live, discover them through your earbuds or soak up their inviting songs on your turntable, one thing is for sure; you too will be part of the family, a Dewveall, by the end of the first song.

P.S. And about that name. It’s pronounced due-VAHL, like Robert Duvall. Not that hard after all.
