Memphis tunesmith Del Goldfarb is back in The Holy Land! Performing his singular brand of originals as well as the occasional arcane classic tune, he's been hailed by reviewers as "the real thing"
His singular career includes stints at Folk City (in the Village, NYC) in the late '60s as accompanist to Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee; sideman at Sun Studio to Billy Lee Riley and opener for acts such as J.J. Cale and Billy Joe Shaver.
In 1987, with the help of John Lee Hooker, Del launched what continues to be the USA’s biggest and longest-running annual music festival/food drive — the Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland, Oregon, USA, which raises millions of dollars and boxcars of food each year for those in need.
