  • marzrw: This a great opportunity to see live shows. Couldn't make it to the show so this is the next best thing.
  • Mtndawg: Marzrw Completely agree with you. From Chicago and I love catching these from home. CL does such a great job on video and audio. A real treat!
  • Mtndawg: Does anyone online know more about the bass player? I checked online about Donnybrook Fair and it's only the 3 of them. I think the bass player is somebody special!

  • Caffe Lena: Arlen Green is a local who plays with a lot of local bands.
  • CATHYANN: Arlin Greene, dad is Smokey Green. He plays with Kevin in The McKrells.
  • Caffe Lena: His father is Smokey Green, and old (82 last I checked) country music singer, who played the Caffé a while ago along with Arlen and his other son, whose name escapes me right now.
  • Mbarring: Always such great audio and streaming from CL! Thank you!
  • Mtndawg: Thanks so much!!!! I will keep track of him. I was taken by his playing from very first. Amazing talent! Seems like he comes from a long line of musicians.
  • Mtndawg: Just found his facebook page. Hopefully he accepts me as a friend so I can let him know how much I appreciate him. :-)
  • Mtndawg: If you happen to talk to him, let him know he has a new fan in Chicago! :-)
  • Caffe Lena: Will do.
  • Mtndawg: As a hack hobby bass player. I have learned to appreciate good bass players. Arlin is something special. I hope others appreciate it also!
  • Caffe Lena: Any local musician that needs a bass player for a limited engagement has a choice of two local players, Arlin and Tony Markellis, who has played on the national stage, but is now content to play locally.
  • Caffe Lena: Not to say that there aren't other bass players in the area, but those two are the best known freelancers.

I heard none of it because I clicked on the link you sent but the concert had not yet started. You keep doing this and as a result I never get to tell if I like the artist and perhaps pay to hear more of the Shia. It is very frustrating to me and does not serve your purposes either.
