Celtic Indian Arvel Bird is an International award-winning performing artist, violinist, fiddle player and Native American flutist, is known around the world for his dramatic connection between American Indian and Celtic traditions.

“What’s the difference between a violin and a fiddle? ATTITUDE!”

And Arvel Bird plays the violin with attitude AND passion. From haunting melodies on a Native American flute to Celtic fiddle tunes and sweeping cinematic productions, this globe-trekking Celtic folk rock musical poet is a Celtic violinist and Native American flutist with matching ancestry. His distinct blend of Scottish, American Indian and contemporary music captures the essence of these two cultures and transcends the boundaries of time and place like “Brave Heart meets Last of the Mohicans at Woodstock”.

Classically trained as a violinist, Bird's compositions and performances encompass an extraordinary love of diversity—from traditional Celtic tunes and bluegrass standards to original orchestral rock and Native American story songs. In fact, people come for the stories as much as the music.

Arvel's musical career includes touring with Glen Campbell, Loretta Lynn, Ray Price, Louise Mandrell and others during his time in Nashville. Followed by 23 CD releases and 2 DVD releases.

As he enters his 12th year of full-time touring, Bird gives no indication he’s ready to slow down. His touring schedule has taken him to Scotland, England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and in prestigious North American locations including the SkyDome in Toronto, Ontario, Smithsonian Museums in D.C. and N.Y., Hochstein Performance Hall in Rochester, NY and the Kennedy Space Center in Cocoa, FL, with symphonies, chamber orchestras, large festivals and more, logging over 500,000 road miles.
