Maurizio Oddone
Biography

B i o g r a p h y
Maurizio Oddone (1957), guitarist with absolute sensibility and modernity in the great interpretations and reinterpretations of the great authors of the original repertoire of the instrument from the great classics up to the twentieth and twenty-first century. It is remembered above all for recordings and interpretations of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach where in 1981 he was noticed by the Journalist, Musical Critic and Dramatist Carlo Marcello Rietmann as one of the most talented about the repertoire of the great master of Eisenach. after performing in a Concert held at Villa Rostan (Genoa) of the Prelude Fugue and Allegro in BWV. 998 in mib maggiore. transcript from the original instrument "Lautenwerke" (harpsichord accorded an octave armed with rope strings designed by Bach himself)

At age he approaches Music with the help of his father (Jazz musician) studying violin but at the age of nine he definitely devotes himself to the guitar by following privately lessons with Maestro Carlo Palladino and later with the same at the Conservatory of Music of Genoa "Nicolò Paganini".

He is later perfected with Angelo Gilardino privately, followed by one year at the Accademia Lorenzo Perosi that he leaves in order to gain more information from other schools of thought detached from the guitar world, in particular, the interpretation and practice of the Baroque repertoire following the free sole of the Harpsichord Gustav Leonhardt.

He holds highly advanced courses, especially those of the Accademia musicale Teresiana from 1993 to 1996.

Many of his students today are recognized as excellent professionals and teachers in several schools and academies.

Several Composers have dedicated songs to him. The most significant are:
Pino Briasco (1942 - 2014) with the song Millennium (written after a concert at the end of 1999 after the release of the album produced by Sony "Koyunbaba" where 3 compositions of the Master were inserted.) The song is recorded in the album (" Pino Briaso's Recollection "published by" Blue Wild Angel Records ") Meeting with the Maestro and Concertista of Sitar Ravi Shankar (1920 - 2012) with the dedication of the song" Awakening "for solo guitar and group of random instruments.

In his career and for his musical versatility regarding the Musical Revolution of the 70s of Progressive and Classic Rock, he was able to make friends and collaborations with Musicians, among which Buddy Miles (1947 - 2008), a friendship lasting until to his tragic disappearance.

After a nearly a decade of concerts from the Concerto, he returns to offer repertoire, record label, post editions and video editions with Blue Wild Angel Records and Blue Wild Angel Editions.
