Tom Goss continues to stand at the forefront of LGBT equality and arts. Hailing from the nation’s capital, Goss is a guitar toting, power-pop prodigy whose radio-ready music is often compared to acoustic-pop peers such as Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson. However, it is Goss’ earnest and thoughtful lyrics, songs inspired by his husband Michael, and the continuing fight for LGBTQ rights, that truly set him apart.

Goss’ music videos have been an integral part of his art. Videos for songs like “Lover,” “Bears,” and “Make Believe,” have helped him rack up millions of YouTube hits worldwide. His music video for “Lover,” tells the story of a soldier killed in Afghanistan while his husband waits at home. The video garnered heavy rotation on MTV’s LOGO and stars servicemen who were discharged under the previous “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Goss can also do humor as demonstrated by his video for single, “Bears,” a song about Goss’ ideal kind of man. It received 100,000 Youtube hits in less than three days and attention in The Washington Post and Huffington Post, Advocate, Towelroad, Queerty, Edge, Metro Weekly, and many others.

In his three previous albums, Goss has connected with fans through his deeply personal, heartfelt songs set to lush orchestration and acoustic guitars. For his newest release, Wait, Goss has upped the ante musically, featuring a full band of top-notch music veterans, including Liz DeRoche of The Pushovers. While the lyrical content remains charming and intimate, the addition of a band adds a new dimension of immediacy while packing an emotional punch.
