It was great. I watched on my phone and wasn't able to make comments or message her so that was a bummer, but other than that it was great!

Erin Jarvis isn't just your typical singer-songwriter; she's a storyteller. The Sacramento, CA native started singing around two years-old, but her parents recall that she appreciated music at an even earlier age. After Erin was born, her parents unpleasantly discovered that she was indeed a "crier," and the only way to appease her was by playing the Crosby Stills and Nash song "Find A Dream," which she would ironically later do through music. Erin Jarvis grew up listening to bands and artists like CSNY, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, and James Taylor; their influence is prevalent in her own writing, which she started doing at the age of 13. She sang in as many elementary and high school choirs and ensembles as she could--such as a Jazz ensemble, an A Cappella ensemble, and a classical soloist ensemble. She has arranged 8 pieces of performed A Cappella music for St. Francis High School in Sacramento as well as a brass quartet, a Bossa Nova composition, and a Reggae composition with over 10 tracked instruments at Berklee College of Music. Though Erin loves to sing and arrange music, she is the most passionate about performing her own songs. She plays the piano and guitar, which she taught to herself at 17 years-old. Erin produced an EP in 2013 with her producer Nelson Braxton (The Braxton Brothers, bassist for Michael Bolton, Grammy-Award winning engineer) titled "Bookends," which is available through ITunes, Reverbnation, Amazon, CDBaby, and other distributors. She is currently working with Nelson on her upcoming album titled "Green Eyes," and just released a new single "Heartbreak City" in January 2014. Erin describes herself as "Folk-ternative" singer-songwriter, whose songs could be categorized in the Pop and Americana genres. She will be a sophomore at Berklee College of Music in fall of 2014, where she is double majoring in Music Business and Songwriting.
