I thought this was a really cool thing. I didn't have to go out; I was entertained by a great artist(s), it was an intimate setting and it was just really fun and nice. And thanks for making me laugh and playing my request. It was a lot of fun. I think next time I'll invite a few friends over as well.

I think he is immensely talented! I particularly like the music he's written and find it playing in my head for hours after hearing it.

Eric McConnell, born and raised in Buffalo NY, picked up his first guitar when he was 13. He stumbled upon a VH-1 performance of Eric Clapton and from then on he was hooked. Though you may hear similarities to a young Stevie Ray Vaughan or Jimi Hendrix; his song crafting crosses genres to Rock, Funk, R&B and Ballad by almost sleight of hand. Whether it's internet fans asking what equipment he uses in hopes of replicating his soulful delivery, contemporaries calling him a "Bad Ass" or fellow sidemen giving him the nickname "Sweet Notes", the word is out on Eric McConnell.

Early in his musical career Eric was a finalist performer at The First National Jimi Hendrix Electric Guitar Competition. This event not only put in motion a determination to make music his life, but also instilled a motivation to become one of the best musicians of his time. In mastering the many tones and inflections of seasoned Blues, Rock, Soul and R&B artists, Eric began to find the "Perfect Storm" that is his sound. He has been awarded “Top Blues Guitarists” by Nightlife Magazine and ”Best New Talent” by Blues Beat Magazine; proving a pertinacious attitude opens doors to opportunity and success.

You can find Eric in several Hollywood and Los Angeles clubs, either on his own or as the spotlighted sideman providing a unique and distinctive soulful sound no matter the band. Like any musician striving towards an ever evolving goal, Eric is constantly working and pushing the definition of "Power Trio" to the brink. With his live album soon to be available for download as well as his first solo EP effort in production, Eric is primed to deliver his voice to the world.

In an era where music seems to have lost it's timeless quality and sense of rebellion, Eric McConnell is proving that songs can be visceral yet bigger than oneself and that "Guitar Heroes" are far from extinct.
