Steinbeck novels, Renaissance choral music, 30’s swing, Neruda poems, Erik Satie, and the night sky all come together to make Maine-born New York-Relocated musician Alice Limoges someone that the Bangor Daily News has called “a singer-songwriter with loads of potential and nowhere to go but up”.
A lover of the stage from a young age, it was a small step for her to begin performing her folk/jazz influenced compositions at local coffeehouses, restaurants, and art museums during her high school years.

Limoges has since performed at venues Such as Rockwood Music Hall (NYC), Club Passim (Boston), Pianos (NYC), Belfast Free Range Festival (ME), The Bowery Electric (NYC), The Shrine (NYC), Silvana (NYC), Muchmore’s (Brooklyn), Jalopy (Brooklyn), Pete’s Candy Store (Brooklyn), and Blue (Portland, ME). Limoges graduated high school a year early to pursue musical studies at the University of Maine Augusta and has carried on to study Studio Composition at SUNY Purchase’s Conservatory of Music.

During her time at Suny Purchase, she formed her band which has further defined her sound, including Jordan Tetewsky on violin and Sara Donnellan on piano/backup vocals. Jazz and country rooted bassist Darren Hicks and rock drummer Zach Chaffee met Limoges at The University of Maine Augusta and will be joining the band for their July/August 2014 northeastern tour.

Her first album, “Not Gonna Fall Asleep Tonight” was released in 2011 and can be found on iTunes, Bandcamp, and Amazon. It features a full band. She is presently working her second album, “As Close As You Can Be Without Touching” to be released Fall 2014.
