Ben Krakauer has a unique voice on the 5-string banjo, his instrument of choice for blues stomps, jazz improvisations, Appalachian breakdowns, and the folk music of rural Bengal. He was a founding member of Old School Freight Train, has toured with mandolin maestro David Grisman, and has performed on over twenty professional recordings. He recently accepted a position as a Visiting Assistant Professor of ethnomusicology at Emory University, and this will be his farewell-to-New-England concert before relocating to Atlanta.

Grant Gordy is one of the preeminent acoustic guitarists of his generation. As a member of the David Grisman Quintet from 2009 through 2014, he occupied a chair previously held by twentieth-century guitar giants such as Tony Rice, Mark O'Connor, Mike Marshall, and Frank Vignola. He has worked with Steve Martin, Edgar Meyer, Edie Brickell, Casey Driessen, Aoife O'Donovan, Darol Anger and many others. His music has been heard on NPR's Morning Edition, All Things Considered and Tiny Desk Concerts, and he has received attention from national music publications such as Acoustic Guitar Magazine, Just Jazz Guitar, andFlatpicking Guitar Magazine, as well as a cover feature in the Japanese bluegrass magazine Moonshiner.
