Zen Radio was one of the premiere bands in the Rocky Mountain music scene of the early 1990's. Starting with influences of Faith No More, Jane's Addiction and Smashing Pumpkins among others, the three members added their own technical flourishes and complex, moody arrangements.
The band was known for intense, energetic live performances, regularly packing venues like the Underground in Colorado Springs. Their 1992 release “Cannibals & Atrophy” sold over 5000 copies (before the internet) and the band played well-received shows throughout Colorado and the Southwest, and from Kansas to California. Some of their greatest shows were with national artists at large venues in Colorado Springs, Denver and Pueblo.
Zen Radio has reunited and will do it's first live performance in 20 years on June 12th, at Ivywild. The band has been vigorously rehearsing as well as writing new material for the past several months and promises an amazing reunion show.
