Come to the Lebanon Opera House on May 31st from 7-9pm for a special concert highlighting Lebanon High School senior Matt Taylor's bands for his extended learning opportunity!

Extended Learning Opportunities (ELOs) are extensions of the high school curriculum allowing students to receive school credit for learning while perusing their passion.

Matt's bands Socially Awkward and The Guys will be performing for this concert, and there will also be a short acoustic set by Matt and his bandmate Spencer Bladyka. Come out on Saturday the 31st for a fun evening of live entertainment! Light refreshments will be provided after the show.

About Socially Awkward
Started in 2010, Socially Awkward has something for everyone! Songs range anywhere from Jason Mraz to Simon and Garfunkel to AC/DC. Socially Awkward plays anything you throw at them! The band brings an energetic, fun, and dance-able collection of tunes to every performance they take part in. They have played at:Whaleback,The Norwich and Cornish Fairs,Hanover Streetfest,Zero Gravity Skatepark, Richmond Middle School, Village Pizza, the Lebanon Green, Lebanon Project Graduation, Tupelo Music Hall, Etna Appreciation Day, Main Street Museum, Competition Complex, Bradford Academy, Lyme Middle School, Hartford Fireworks, the Lyme 250th Anniversary Weekend, and many other venues.

About The Guys
The Guys started in late 2011 when a few 'guys' decided to become a band after jamming a couple times together. They chose to name themselves "The Guys" because that is what they are. (Well now it's ironic because there is a girl in the band.) With Hayden Dow on drums, Spencer Bladyka on vocals and guitar, Abby Mayo on bass, and Matt Taylor on vocals and guitar, The Guys are always playing new and different tunes, and overpowering you with their amazing wit and awesomeness. Well I mean, they're okay I guess. The Guys offer a good collection of covers ranging from ska and punk like The Mighty Mighty Bosstones' "Rascal King" to classics like Tom Petty's "Free Fallin'." They also play a bunch of original songs that crowds have enjoyed, and are always writing more!
