I found that the single camera made for a very static presentation. I particularly liked Megan Keely's contribution!

fantastic. This singer songwriter is excellent, beautiful songs, well written and well played. I recommend Kai Welch highly. An accomplished musician worth keeping your eyes and ears on.

I am pretty excited about Kai's "Music for Wild Places" project. It is a perfect way to combine his outdoor passion and skills with his musical talent, creativity, and discipline. Wait, did I say discipline?

Kai Welch was born into a tribe of semi-nomadic, back-to-the-land-hippie homesteaders in Eastern Oregon in 1980. A lifelong musician, he was a classical pianist and liberal arts grad before taking up songwriting and the inspired-vagabond’s lifestyle. His early years were spent in the woods, and in some ways he never left - he remains committed to wilderness as a part of American and human life and aims to bring music and wilderness together in a series of concerts in wild places, promoting conservation and protection. He now writes, composes, produces, and tours worldwide from his home base in Nashville, TN. He has worked and recorded with a long list of artists, most notably Abigail Washburn, collaborating with her on acclaimed “City of Refuge” (2011). He has released one solo record, entitled “Send It Down”, and has just made available a 4-song digital E.P. called “The Wolf Who Cried Boyyeee”.
