A soulful, transparent and unpretentious performer, Robyn’s literacy dates back to early childhood and probably comes from reading under the covers with a flashlight instead of sleeping.

A published poet and grade-school spelling bee champ, she published two widely-read (regional bestseller) books on nutrition and natural healing while in her 20s, and began penning national magazine and newspaper pieces as a 16-year-old college freshman. She has also been a book editor and graphic artist, and is sought after as a communications consultant.

When she turned her attention to music, her writing gifts translated naturally; her intelligent songcraft has garnered over 55 songwriting honors since 2005, including first place in the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival Songwriting Contest, first place at the Wildflower! Festival in Dallas, and Grand Prize in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. She was a Falcon Ridge Folk Festival Emerging Artist and has been an official showcasing artist at Folk Alliance International and regional conferences.

Her second recording “Many Moons” was one of the most-played records on folk radio in 2009, with no special promotion or representation. Her third CD “Waterproof,” produced by John Jennings, is due summer 2014.

Her articulate, passionate and evocative writing invites frequent comparisons to Richard Shindell (one of her favorite influences); her songs are delivered with pure, warm and intimate vocals and appealing folk-Americana melodies. She has toured extensively, co-written and shared the stage with many fine writers and musicians, and taught songwriting at many festival workshops.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Robyn later settled in Seattle and happily migrated to Tucson (to-SUN!) in 2010. She is a passionate environmental and health advocate; an avid hiker, nature enthusiast, animal lover and vegetarian foodie; she has a degree in Film, studied acting and performed in musical theater, and is a serious meditator and yogi. Her personal best Scrabble score is 535.
