Emily Mure is a classically informed, smoky voiced, singer-songwriter. Her newest album, Odyssey, called "introspective, unorthodox, and powerful" (Adobe and Teardrops) showcases her confessional and emotionally charged songwriting.

Emily performs solo and with her chamber-folk trio, which includes Audrey Q Snyder on cello and Emily DiAngelo on oboe and english horn. Emily's music and arrangements showcase her classical background and compositions, and put a new spin on modern folk music. She was an emerging artist at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, a Telluride Bluegrass Troubadour, and has shared the stage with the likes of Kim Richey, Garrison Starr, Darlingside, Cuddle Magic and Kris Delmhorst. Her songs have made their way into shows and movies on NBC, PBS, and ABC.

"There was/is something about her songs and voice that made me want to go off into a quiet place and to be sure I captured each and every note. She surprised me too.. just when you're pretty sure you've got your basic coffee house folky singer-songwriter, she slips into that chamber mojo mode where people like Marissa Nadler and Meg Baird live, and then out of nowhere...I mean like an Ali left jab...you get a pedal steel, oboe and a cello thrown at you. Bam."

“(Odyssey is) an album of unpretentious, straight-and-true songwriting that draws from contemporary folk, acoustic country and intimate chamber pop”
