Lot of trouble with the audio stream. Poor microphone & sound quality. Need more work on getting the laptop show up to standard of the venue shows, which have superb sound. Of course, April being her usual vibrant, positive self, & the boys playing wonderfully, the technical issues were soon forgotten, & we were glad to be there, vicariously. Keep working on the laptop quality. I made some suggestions on the thread from the show last night. Excellent mics, & a small mixer to temper the sound into the laptop should do the job. More monitoring before the show goes live. Got to have good laptops, with excellent sound cards, & a strong internet connection to go along w/ any of the performances. Thanks for this pioneering technology.

The music was awesome! I would have enjoyed a little more music and a little less chat. I'm glad they fixed the technical issues so the show could go on.

Throw down the plywood and let April and her boys do the rest. Canada’s Ottawa Valley meets Old-Time Appalachia: crack fiddling, electric step dancing, sweet singing. JUNO Award nominee April Verch has never sounded more comfortable in her skin than she does now, in the second decade of her career as an internationally touring fiddler, step dancer, singer, and songwriter. The April Verch Band—rounded out by bassist and clawhammer banjo player Cody Walters and guitarist Hayes Griffin, is an energetic, virtuosic, tradition-celebrating outfit. Her ninth album, Bright Like Gold, captures a woman who’s fleshed out her identity and is in full command of her gifts, a woman who’s grown from a prodigy into an enduring artist—one of music’s most unforgiving public transitions—with grace and grit to spare.
