I loved the webcast, if that's what it's called! Katie was so natural, just the way I remember her and it was so nice watching and listening to her!!! I loved her songs, which many of, I heard for the first time. Now I can't wait for the new album to come out. I had fun taking part of this. She should do it again. It was worth it, staying up till past 3 AM to be able to listen and see her for an whole hour! It made my day, night, morning, I don't know for me which word to use, but I thought this was very cool.

Katie Sachs is a singer-songwriter and community organizer who came into this world with a serious ear for music and relentless drive for social justice. Her voice has been described as having "a deliciously pure tone, with a calculated warble that displays a creamy melodic integrity." This, combined with complex melodies and vivid lyrical imagery, make her one of those artists that can silence a room before the first chorus. Her debut EP, "Places Not on Maps" was released in Greenfield, MA in 2012 to much local media attention and acclaim - earning her headlining gigs at such notable venues as The Dream Away Lodge, The Iron Horse and Club Passim.

In 2013, Katie continued touring the Northeast, and also expanded her musical endeavors to her background as a community organizer. She was awarded several Massachusetts Cultural Council Grants to lead songwriting workshops at local community centers. She also founded The Woman Songwriter Collective - a group of fellow female artists committed to supporting each other's careers and rejecting the misogynist and capitalist business model of the main stream music industry.
