“One man and a guitar. That’s all it’s ever been about. Honesty, six strings, and nowhere to hide.”- Damon Valentine

Having shared stages with Elbow, Paolo Nutini, Laura Marling and The Staves, and penning songs with critically acclaimed writer/producers Jimmy Hogarth (Amy Winehouse, James Morrison, Duffy), Sam Dixon (Adele, Sia, Ryan Adams), and Fred Ball (KT Tunstall, Kylie Minogue). Some may be humbled to learn that British singer-songwriter Damon Valentine can still be found busking the streets of towns and cities he has played since his teens. His love of performing live has led him to gig relentlessly in recent years, a trait that has helped hone his emotive and honest sound, whilst connecting him to an ever growing loyal fan base.

Comparisons to Ryan Adams, Ed Sheeran, Damien Rice and Elliot Smith have earned Damon a reputation as a gifted, mature songwriter and compelling live act. In late 2013 he teamed up with London label Young & Lost Club (Noah & The Whale) to complete a packed out three-month residency at the renowned Lock Tavern in Camden.

February 2014 sees the release of his debut EP, “You Will Get It Right”. Available at damonvalentine.com, this four track free download includes a song co-written with Travis guitarist Andy Dunlop, and appearances from members of Admiral Fallow and Fatherson, as well as Orange Unsigned Act winner, Tommy Reilly.

With live dates throughout the UK, and a second EP release on the horizon, the coming months look set to be extremely busy for this modern-day troubadour.
