I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. I have not seen anything like it before. It felt like you were having your own personal house concert. I loved the interactive aspect too. Great fun!

Beautiful music beautifully performed. I especially liked "Across the Great Divide." Such a warm, comfortable performance nicely paced. It was like a house concert in my living room, which I guess it really was.

The ingredients of Kyle Carey’s music include the songs of the American Folk Anthology, influences of Irish, Scottish and Cape Breton traditional music, and the Appalachian poetry of Louise McNeill. It is best described by Jeremy Searle of R2 Magazine: “Finally released in Europe after and album launch in the US and Canada, the debut album from Alaska born and extensively traveled Kyle Carey is, quite simply, a delight. Drawing from both the American and British folk traditions, the songs, including some very fine originals, are beautifully crafted and performed. ‘Magical’ is the mot juste for this album. Assured, confident, charming and irresistible, it sticks to the CD player like glue, as does the finger to the Repeat button.”

In a town full of songs and singers, Josienne Clarke and Ben Walker give you the real thing. Both classically trained, their musical proficiency is beyond doubt. But this isn't about technical accomplishment. This is about a song, first and foremost. Whether interpreting words centuries old, or singing her own authentic lyrics, Josienne's jewel-like voice finds the nuance and melancholy in the simplest phrase and effortlessly sends it straight to your heart.

Ben's musical tact and mastery of the guitar provide the perfect setting and allow the song centre-stage.
