I liked the song "Six Cents a Pound" best. If I have the right title.

There were some dropouts for buffering, I guess, but the sound and video were excellent when they were coming through. Unfortunately, a lot of 'Victoria's Secret' was lost. What a clever song! All the songs had extraordinary biting lyrics, as good as any other folksinger I know, and better than most. Yet he and Lynn kept a good sense of humor. Fine singing and playing, too. As a UU I found the purpose of the concert very special, and I'm glad to learn about that particular church. I think this kind of event makes ConcertWindow special, and it's an ideal use of the internet.

MUSIC WITH A MESSAGE

Born on a dairy farm, Tom was raised with long days in the barns and hayfields of upstate NY.
Activist, historian, educator, and basketball coach, his award-winning songs of humor, compassion, and political affairs have been performed in 21 countries on 5 continents. His lyrics are celebrated for their sophistication, political astuteness, and wit. Combining art with activism, he has been at the for-front in helping communities organize against water privatization, mountain top removal, nuclear energy, incinerators, fracking, and toxic waste.
“Tom's work has spanned decades and continents sharing comprehensive and sobering interpretations of sociology and history with an easily digestible and entertaining format designed to inform and inspire peace.” Thus reads his nomination for the 2015 United Nations Nelson Mandela Award for his life-long commitment to peace and justice.
He is a veteran of stage and street theater, with his writing, acting, and directing. He does a variety of educational programs in schools that address social issues. His music has been used in documentaries, stage and street theater as he tells the stories of people’s struggles against greed and violence, interjecting a good deal of levity along the way.

“Politically cutting-edge, incisive, warm, & very funny; Raucous political satire &, quick wit,
had everyone laughing & engaged.” Cathy Gilbert, Miami Dade Green Party

“Creative & compelling; skewers the outrageous behavior of the greedy & powerful in corporations, the media, & government.” Ray Korona, People’s Voice Café Collective, New York City

“Does a great job of reminding people of what is really important, and the power of folk music to say
it.” Michael Stock, WLRN, Miami, FL
