Chuck is always wonderful. Your feed was not. It dropped after 2 songs and was down for 40 minutes, coming back up just in time for the intermission. It was wholly inconsistent during the second half too. Most disappointed.

Chuck's show was really good. There were sone tech problems, but they were beyond anyone's control I think.

Excellent show. I've been a long time fan and cover a couple of his songs.

5 stars for Chuck's heartfelt, homegrown performance, his wonderful songs & sense of humor. Points taken off for: 1) poor audio and video (a computer speaker and mike are inadequate). This would be better if originated from a real or home studio. 2) a clunky interface at the Concert Window website, especially when one is using a smart tv or media server to see it on a big screen & audio system rather than a computer. 3) a poor viewing experience in that Chuck's performance window was merely a portion of the screen, half or more being taken up by clutter and a huge chat section which was comprised of a lot of personal mundanities unrelated to Chuck's music. In summation: Chuck deserves better.

Chuck has already made the Baseball Hall of Fame, with 18 of his original songs enshrined in the Sound Recording Library. Chuck and baseball make a great fit because the game is full of stories and Chuck is a storyteller at heart. “What tales this singer-songwriter from Philadelphia has,” says the New York Times. “With insight and good humor, he has taken these life experiences and distilled them into old fashioned story songs brimming with wit and compassion.” Larry Groce, host of NPR’s Mountain Stage, calls Chuck “one of the finest singer-songwriters in America. There are a lot of good ones, but when it comes to the really great ones, it boils down to a select few – he’s one of them.” Chuck honed his writing and performing skills playing at the Freight in the 1980s and has since recorded 11 albums, including his latest, Subtotal Eclipse, which features a lovely ballad about right fielder and humanitarian Roberto Clemente.
