The Loomers were awesome. A great mix of songs, great playing, and more. But the Loomers are always awesome. Given that they rarely perform closer than 1000 miles from where we live, it was great to have another way to see them. The technology didn't work perfectly (although it sounds like it worked better for us than for most), which is the only thing that bumps it from 5 to 4 stars. I also wish they could have heard the applause :-).

I couldn't see the concert nor hear the concert. My screen was black. Very disappointing again. This will be the last time that I attempt to use Concert Wondow. I have had problems in the past connecting too.

When faced with a sterile web-cam in an empty studio some performers disappear into themselves. Jon Svetkey did the opposite. He reached out and drew us into his performance with energy, warmth and humor. It was delightful.

The concert was great. Jon is always a pleasure to hear. It was my first time on Concert Window and I thought the platform was very cool. Reading the posts of others added to the experience.

Who are The Loomers?

We are two-time winners of Berklee College of Music's Battle of the Executive Bands. We backed rock legend John Mellencamp at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. We have performed at places like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Fenway Park, The House of Blues, Irving Plaza and The Somerville Theater. We have been the backing band for acclaimed songwriter Ellis Paul. We have hosted countless sold out 70s & 80s Tribute Nights at the legendary Club Passim. We have had our songs played on CBS, Cinemax, The CW, MTV, NBC, & PBS. And -- especially -- we are extraordinarily proud to have raised tens of thousands of dollars for charities big and small.

JON SVETKEY –– the singer-songwriter who co-founded End Construction with Ellis Paul, Jim Infantino & Brian Doser and has shared the stage with Grammy winner Kristian Bush (Sugarland), Richard Thompson, Dar Williams, Shawn Mullins and Martin Sexton among others –– plays acoustic guitar and sings. EVERETT PENDLETON plays electric guitar, harmonizes, and never stops moving. JACK CAVALIER and MICHAEL CAHILL hold down the bass and drums. ROB LAURENS pounds the keys and TOM SIMONS also rips it up on electric guitar.

But, in case you've never heard of us -- and trust us, we won't be offended -- we're just a bunch of guys, based mostly around the Boston area, passionate about making music an integral part of our rich, full-time lives. In short, we love to get together to play. Our songs are a rollicking trip through Americana –– infused with the sounds of driving rock, highway blues, heartland folk, urban country, 1950s rock & soul, and retro-1980s pop –– filled with the joys, sorrows, hopes, regrets and wonder of growing older. Kind of like Counting Crows and Ryan Adams hanging out with The Allman Brothers and Tom Petty at a backyard keg party.

Over the years we've released five albums: Reeling Down A Road (2010), Tomorrow Today (2006), Shine (2004), Simple As That (1998) and Escalation (1997). Right now we're just looking forward to many more years of joyful noise and camaraderie. And we're glad to have you along for the ride.
