The opportunity to see a live webcast of Cyrille Aimee and the band was fantastic. It was a great show, very intimate and warm, and a really good energy. Each band member had a chance to shine, and seeing Cyrille is like seeing a young Ella or Billie -- like them, she is not just a vocalist, she is a musician and will one day be recognized as one of the greats, no doubt about it. I will be recommending the Concert Window to friends. It worked smoothly from beginning to end. Thanks to all!

Cyrille Aimée was born in Fontainebleau, France, to a French father and Dominican mother.

Every year in June, her village Samois-sur-Seine, welcomes gypsies who come from all over Europe to set up caravans in nearby meadows for the Django Reinhardt Festival, in honor of the legendary guitarist who also once lived in Samois-sur-Seine. As a child, Cyrille fell in love with gypsy music and way of life. She spent evenings at their camps, learned their language and began to sing by the fire with Django's descendants.

Cyrille has won many awards such as the Montreux Jazz Festival Competition in 2007, the International Theleonious Monk Competition in 2010 and the International Sarah Vaughan Competition in 2012.

Cyrille has five albums out, including two live albums: 2010 release “Cyrille Aimée & friends” Live at Smalls, which features Roy Hargrove; and released early 2013, “Cyrille Aimée & The Surreal Band” which features Joel Frahm.
Her first album, “Cyrille Aimée & The Surreal Band” was recorded in Switzerland and released in 2007.
Her other two albums, released in 2008, are duets with brazilian guitarist Diego Figueiredo: “Smile” was recorded in Sao Paolo and “Just the Two of Us” was recorded in Avatar Studios, NY.

Said The Washington Post, "[Cyrille's] voice is like fine whiskey – oaky and smooth, with a hint of smokiness.” Her vocals are featured in the award-winning French documentary “Kings of Pastry." In a much cherished encounter with Bobby McFerrin, Cyrille is inspired to develop her loop-pedal solo performance.

Cyrille is currently working on a new project with a brand new band composed of three very different guitars: One gypsy guitar, one jazz guitar and one brazilian guitar; and bass and drums.
