Bio

When Connie was in elementary school her dad told her that she had perfect surgeon hands. She told him that they’d be better for the piano. She was the kid who pretended to sing country songs on her tennis-racquet-turned-banjo when her dad had her play on the middle school tennis team. Connie started writing songs at age 7, and trained classically on vocals and piano. started publicly performing originals her sophomore year in college, and sang in UC Berkeley's Golden Overtones, previous ICCA champions.

As of now, Connie is a Los Angeles-based recording artist, performer, and songwriter. In 2013 Connie Lim's supporters, also known as #teamlimitless , donated close to $14,000 for Connie to record her first full-length album, A Better Part of Me, composed of songs that talk about self-empowerment (“Just as Good” and “Windmill”), the pursuit of love (“Love You For Forever” and “Fog Over Water”), the pursuit of dreams (“LA City” and “Nothing is Impossible”), and even her experience competing on NBC’s The Voice (“More Than Real”). Examiner.com’s LA Music Critic Awards nominated A Better Part of Me as Best Female CD of the year. Music Connection Magazine also published Lim as one of the hottest 100 unsigned live performers of the year, while Buzzfeed.com listed Lim as one of the Top 10 Asian American Musicians to Get Behind.
