Emily Wolf was surrounded by music at an early age. Growing up in London, with a well-known music educator for a father, Emily was no stranger to performances, rehearsals and musical gatherings. As a child she was encouraged by both of her parents to develop her musical ear, matter-of-factly transposing "Happy Birthday" when she was 3 years old.

Emily sang and played Viola throughout her high school years, then in 2005, recieved her BA in Combined Arts from the University of Durham. She continued performing and studying Jazz Voice, leading her to a chance meeting with drummer Richie Barshay at a Jazz club in London, who told her about the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Shortly afterwards, Emily auditioned and under the tutelage of Vocalist Anita Wardell, was accepted for a Masters in Jazz Performance in 2008.
Emily moved to Boston and had the priviledge of studying vocals with Dominique Eade, Sheila Jordan, Jerry Bergonzi, and others. She was a semi-finalist in the Boston ‘Steppin’ out’ Jazz competition, led her own groups, performing in Boston venues and schools, and finished her time at NEC with the recording of her EP, “Nevermine", prompting Jazz Inside Magazine to distinguish her as a "burgeoning talent, one that deserves the one-to-watch tag."

In 2010, Emily moved to Harlem with a dream and a month's rent. She formed her band 'The Emily Wolf Project', who perform regularly around a variety of NYC venues. Her sound mixes Blues, Jazz, and Soul. Emily is preparing or the release of her next album 'Love For Me' featuring her own writing, reflecting the continuing evolution that the inspiration of New York has brought to her sound.
