Journey Into the Woods, from Oz to Sunset Blvd with iconic songs, along with a few lesser-known Broadway gems. A one-woman concert celebrating some of Broadways most lovingly flawed characters.

Interwoven with personal and theatrical anecdotes, and presented in Montreal's nostalgic Cabaret-style venue, La Sala Rossa, a witchy, bitchy, glitchy evening not to be missed!

TARA BISSETT
Tara is an actor/singer in musical and non-musical theatre, as well as film. A native Montrealer, she lived and studied in Ontario, The US and overseas before deciding There’s no Place Like Home, and settling back in her birth city.

Selected credits include Into The Woods (Witch), Gidion’s Knot (Heather), Enchanted April (Lady Caroline Bramble), Gefilte Fish Chronicles (Goldie), Sins of the Mother (Theresa), Separate Tables (Jean Tanner), Once Upon a Time (Riding Hood), Poison (Trisha). Most recently you may have seen her this past summer as Penny in Pool (No Water), directed by Gordon McCall, and Linda in Wife Begins at Forty with Hudson Village Theatre Company, directed by Glen Bowser. She has also performed on a variety of stages, including at such venues as the Centaur Theatre in Montreal and New York City’s Carnegie Hall (Celtic Mass for the Sea/Scott MacMillan).

CHRIS BARILLARO - Music Director & Pianist
Chris Barillaro is a musical director, pianist, actor, singer, and proud graduate of Dawson College’s Professional Theatre Program and of McGill University (B.A. in music and theatre). Selected musical direction credits include:  Ain’t Misbehavin’,  Guys and Dolls (Asst. MD), Schwartz's: The Musical (Asst.MD);  Cabaret; Chicago; and the Canadian premieres of both Rooms: A Rock Romance and Altar Boyz. Selected acting credits include: Songs For A New World (Players' Theatre); The Play's the Thing (Segal Theatre); Schwartz's: The Musical (Centaur);  Souvenir (CETM & IYFE); Altar Boyz (CETM); The Jazz Singer (DWYT) and SyFy's Being Human. 

Chris is currently serving as the assistant music director for the award-winning Lyric Theatre Singers and recently had the pleasure of accompanying the late Ms. Joan Rivers. He is also the music director and orchestrator for the world premiere of Belles Soeurs: The Musical, which is set to open at the Segal Theatre in October.
