Born and raised in Indianapolis Indiana, Lux Marie became actively involved in the arts at the age of 12. Singing, dancing, acting and playing instruments such as the piano and flute, were among many of her artistic pursuits growing up. After high school and a few years of turning to corporate America for stability, Lux decided to move her passion for singing from the back burner in 2011. She began working on her debut E.P. entitled 'Revealed'.

Since childhood, Lux Marie was impacted by a wide span of music to say the least. From her mothers reggae and oldies r&b collection, to Gospel music in church, Lux was not a stranger to hearing various styles of musical creativity.

A self-proclaiming raw and edgy R&B songstress, pieces of Lux Marie's music could still easily fall into other genres. Her upbeat dance track 'Vampire Life' for instance screams the spirit of today's Pop culture. 'Ride the track' and 'Turn It Up' two more harder and edgier selections, have a Hip Hop bass that will blow out your speakers. Lux even shares the art of Spoken Word on her jazzy interlude 'My Wish'.

Although inspired by many female r&b artists, old and new (such as Aretha Franklin, Beyonce and Jill Scott) Lux Marie says she her writing style is mostly influenced by male r&b artist such as Tank, The Dream and Jaime Foxx.

As a free spirited female r&b singer, Lux likes to feed her audience with unconventional ear and eye candy all at once. She is not afraid to bring passion on the mic while seductively moving her hips to the beat. She not only incorporates dance in her performances but tells stories in the form of body language.

"The title Revealed is so fitting because there are so many people in my life that didn't even know I did music. I kept it so personal and now I know it's because I had a fear of rejection. Now that I'm reverting back to who I always felt I was meant to be, some people are unfamiliar with that person. So now, Lux Marie is 'revealed' literally."-Lux Marie
