Anna, Sheila and Clare Friel are young traditional musicians born in Glasgow with their family roots firmly entrenched in the Donegal Gaeltacht. Being siblings, they achieve a close blend on fiddle, flute and uilleann pipes interspersed with songs sang in unison, many from their family repertoire.

Anna, Sheila and Clare Friel are young traditional musicians born in Glasgow with their family roots firmly entrenched in the Donegal Gaeltacht. Being siblings, they achieve a close blend on fiddle, flute and uilleann pipes interspersed with songs sang in unison, many from their family repertoire.

The Friel Sisters have performed in various venues and festivals across Europe, America and Asia including the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall as part of Celtic Connections, the Danish Tonder Festival, Willie Clancy Summer School, Catskill's Irish Arts Week in New York, Frankie Kennedy Winter School, Sligo Live, Coex Centre South Korea and at many other festivals. Most recently they were involved in the highly popular live broadcast Fleadhlive for Tg4 at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2013 in Derry. They have appeared as guests on stage with acts such as The Chieftains, Cherish the Ladies and Altan on several occasions.
