Upstate New York singer songwriter Danny Whitecotton blends his influence as a native Texan with the contemporary folk of the northeast to create a laid-back pastoral folk country vibe that muses on subjects like love, loss and possibility.

Having what most people considered a good job, Danny left the desk behind for a guitar and a place behind the wheel on the road. With his album Love, War, and Other Mistakes receiving international attention, Danny left his day job and toured all over the eastern half of the US from Maine to Texas.

In 2013 Whitecotton played over 70 shows, was featured as a Guerrilla showcase artist at the Northeast Regional Folk Alliance Conference, and released his album at the historic Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs, NY. He has also been featured by the northeast radio stations WEXT, WEQX, and WSPN.

Having always been intrigued by iconic songwriters such as Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt, Whitecotton is putting his prolific song repertoire through its paces as he crafts songs for people to connect and identify with. His road journal on his website fills in the details of chance meetings, wild adventures, and honesty that no doubt make their way into the songs he sings.
