Excellent event. Great to see world class players in a casual and intimate setting, sharing their music and their lives. Made all the better because I got to view it live in New Zealand. Good job!
That was a great show! The music was fantastic and it was fun hearing the musicians interact with each other on a person to person level. Lots of smiles and laughter and fun. The only difficulty I had with the show in the beginning was not being able to hear every thing that was being said. One of the other viewers suggested listening with headphones and that fixed that issue. Thanks again for a great show.
I enjoyed it very much. At first the feed was frequently broken, but after I refreshed the screen it was much better, only a few breaks after that. Maybe my computer is kind of old. It was wonderful to get to see Mark and company in real time. I haven't yet been able to attend a concert, but this seemed so close. It was delightful! I hope there will be more like this in the future! Concert Window is a wonderful concept!!
From a technical standpoint, the presentation was perfect. No bandwidth issues, good lighting and sound. And it was cool to be 'invited' into Mark's home.
I enjoyed listening to all of the music and then getting the extra insight about each selection. I can tell that Mark and his associates do really enjoy playing together - a 'mark' of a successful quartet! Keep it up; I look forward to hearing more. This is head music.
What does that string quartet #3 look like on paper? A mess of black ink!
Congratulations to all, and best wishes from an old fiddle camper,

Watching the O'Connor webcast was really exciting, not only because it felt like we were being treated to a private concert in a master's living room, but because it felt like we were present at the birth of a new technology. Mark was a wonderful host, sharing stories, answering questions, and leading the music. It was magic when someone asked about the guitars and Mark told about each one. Forrest's camera work brought our attention just where it needed to go. We were glad you had two resolution settings, because on our limited DSL connection, we could only stream in low rez, but at least we could get occasional high rez stills. Sound quality was excellent, but the visuals did an occasional jitter-dance, I think because of our computer.
Mark O'Connor and the musicians were sensationally good and I loved
their conversation. It was informal and informative...not always the easiest thing to pull off.
Technically, the volume on the conversations could have used a boost from the source...otherwise splendid.
Thanks to Mr. O'Connnor and everyone who made this event happen.
It was great, with the Q & A I felt like I was really there. Such a great show!
Terrific show, wonderful personalities and talent. Very well done!
I really enjoyed watching last night's show on Concert Window! The quality of the sound and visuals was the best I've seen so far. The intimacy of the setting, in Mark's living room, was a great touch, and made you feel like you were there. It was fun hearing the stories told by each musician, and watching the joy of them performing the music together. I am hoping Concert Window will do more shows like this one! Congratulations for putting it all together to share with us. I know it is a lot of work on everyone's part!
The Mark O'Connor concert live webcast was FANTASTIC. I really enjoyed watching/listening to the music and discussions. The joy and humor came across as well as the love of performing and creating beautiful music. The interaction with viewers via chat was nice as well as the different camera angles and panning, not usual on CW. We can't always make every live event and this was the next best thing. Technicalities wise -I had excellent feed except for one glitch (probably on my end-router refresh). I had a land line though (at work) so that was most likely why. I hope we will be able to experience more shows like this!! Thank you to all! :o)
Great concert but enough technical issues that it was a bit frustrating to experience...
Excellent! A great idea to use this format. When I've heard Mark talk before about his compositions it was pretty stilted. This format let him be comfortable and relaxed with the audience because that's what he was with the quartet.

Very cool program by Mark O'Connor quartet. This is a great idea to expand on the general concept of CW
I loved the Mark O'Connor concert of course -- I'm a huge fan and the string quartet he put together is wonderful.
I also think this Concert Window is a great idea. Although there is nothing like a live concert with the audience physically present, not only is this format very effective and makes it possible for a lot more people to enjoy the show, but the very nature of the more intimate "venue" makes for a different experience.
Incredible event! I loved the intimate setting in which I could see old friends, listen to their stories, and of course the awesome music! The whole thing I personally would have liked is to see Forrest pop in front of the camera for a minute, but surely can't subtract stars for not doing that. Perhaps a Mark/Forrest concert in the future?
What an absolutely wonderful way to spend the evening; privy to an intimate concert and conversation with Mark and his friends. I love WATCHING great musicians play. They really feel the music. PLEASE tell me there is some way I can obtain a DVD of this program. It is priceless. My son holds Mark in very high esteem and hopes to someday play the violin to those standards. I would be forever grateful if I could give him this program. Bravo and applause to Mark, Kelly, Gillian and Patrice!
